The Country Selection screen allows you to customize your selection according to your market(s) of interest. By clicking on "Country" under Selection Criteria on your report page (see Figure A), you can access the Country Selection screen (see Figure B).

By default, about half of the Data Source Selection options present a World Total along with all individual countries. See the Brief Overview table on the Data Source Selection page for a quick reference of what countries are reported by which reports.

Navigating the Country Selections

As is the case with the other data dimensions, there are several ways to go about selecting your country or countries of interest. The most intuitive include using the search function (see note 1 in Figure B) and/or manually selecting your country or countries of interest (see note 2 in Figure B).

• Search Bar. Type in a country name and press the "Search" button. The page will reload and show all countries that match your keyword(s). Check the box next to your desired country or countries. When using the search function, it is important to remember that all countries (around 240 are defined) on USA Trade Online are listed according to their official name. For example, “Germany” is listed as “Federal Republic of Germany.” A search for “Germany” would highlight this, however looking through the list alphabetically would not. If your initial search results are unsatisfactory, you can either click "Show all" next to the search bar or "Country" in the Selection Criteria list to return to the main Country Selection page to start over.
• Manual Selection. First clear the default selections (click next to “Clear all") and then go through and select your countries of interest. The list is too long for one page so you must use the button at the bottom of the expandable tree listing to view the remaining countries.

• USA Trade Online automatically saves any changes you make to your commodity, country, district or port (as applicable), and measures criteria before you view the resulting table. Only the "Advanced Selection" option in the time dimension requires you to save your changes first.
